There are exciting opportunities for postdoctoral research available within the Cardiovascular Research Group. Interested candidates should discuss the research programs with faculty members directly. Support for fellowships may be available from research grants or by application to provincial or national granting agencies (e.g. Canadian Institutes of Health Research, Heart & Stroke Foundation, Alberta Heritage Foundation for Medical Research). The CIHR award carries a basic stipend of $38,000-$40,000 with an annual increment. Eligibility for the AHFMR Fellowship is restricted to a maximum of five years following award of a doctoral degree. Fellowships are awarded in one year terms and may be renewed twice.
The Cardiovascular Research Group provides training leading to Masters and Doctoral degrees through various departments in the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry. Candidates should contact the faculty member of their interest for further information.
